weekend break

after a long wait at home (and the hospital phase) I am off to cesme! with "my baby" for an amazing weekend... 


we are going to spend our weekend with amazing friends - Lala, MNU89, Deniku, and EceO .. precious people I have met, thanks to "my baby"... these people have been good friends to me, dear friends.. have supported me while I was in the hospital, like I was one of their own.. have been with me everyday through it all.. now, it is time to celebrate and have some fun.. so no posts from me during this weekend.. but I do plan to come back with some pictures and good memories to share..

weekend getaway

me, "my baby" and our friends are getting away from Istanbul, just for a few days.. leaving on Friday and getting back Sunday night.. I am OK with that.. 2 days is better than none!

there are some amazing places in this world that I want to see before I die.. like this place, in Maldives..

it is just so hot in Istanbul, it is so humid that functioning normally is just hard.. going to work tomorrow will be hard also.. but I am guessing that we will have a good time on our terrace..

it would be so much better, if our terrace looked something like the picture above..

do I even need to complete the sentence... but anyways.. I wish I was here right now, with "my baby", swinging on the hammock.. this place looks amazing, so romantic.. just energizing..

About a year and a week ago, I was in Hawaii with "my baby".. just a year ago, I was warm under the sun, the sand burnt my feet.. It was incredible! And now that I am hearing the stories of my friends' spring break week, and having "my baby" by my side inIstanbul during this cold weather.. I just had to share some of our memories with you.. 


tam 1 yil 1 hafta once, Hawaii nin sicak kumsallarinda, kivaran derim, yanan ayayklarimla, bebegim yanimda, mutlu bir tatil geciriyorduk.. Tam 1 yil 1 hafta demek dile kolay geliyor, nasilda gecmis zaman.. Simdi butun arkadaslarimiz gene farkli yerlere gittiler, resimlerini paylasiyorlar, hikayelerini anlatiyorlar.. bense, ve bebegimse (yanima geldigi icin) istanbul'un soguk havasinda titreye titreye gunleri geciriyoruz.. o nedenle paylasmak istedim sizlere, gecen seneden bir kac ani.. kendimize de hatirlatmak amaciyla.. o guzel gunleri..

the weekend by max mara collection shoot made me think of our trip to Hawaii..

there in the international market we saw these parrots..

i convinced "my baby" to have out photos taken.. 

even though he was a little afraid of them he agreed and we got the most beautiful photos which I plan to cherish my whole life. 

so here you go - can you see the similarities?

thanksgiving is on the way

thanksgiving is on the way and we,

7 people, are looking for a place to stay at during those 4 days..

we had the perfect dream place in hand, but missed it.. 

we are thinking {wanting to} of staying at this mountain chalet/cottage whatever we can get, that has a fire place, is hidden in the woods, or is beside a river/lake, and has a hot tub

oh yes... try to find a place with these qualifications around DC..

there are many..

BUT

there aren't any left.. 

yet, gotta have HOPE all the time.. 

so we are still searching..

missing HAWAII

last semester, for spring break we went to HAWAII.. 

it was incredible..

i thought i was in heaven.. 

the ocean, the sun, the wind, the weather.. 

the food..

the shrimp to be exact. 

best shrimp i ever had!
