simple package/minimal choices

Ever think about brands and their logos? the transformation they go through.. first the decision on their name, then the branding, the color choices etc.

here are some transformations.. however backwards from what I have just told you.. it shows the simplifications of branding.. what a bottle design would look like with out all the mambo jambo.. and how simplificity works (better)

the wedding

Just like the whole world did, I watched the Royal Wedding live on TV. Even though I was at work, we all were gathered infront of a PC or infront of a tv to get a glance at the wedding, to wait and see Kate's wedding dress...
I was speechless and amazed at the beauty I saw..
I never payed any attention to Kate before.. but today, she was gorgeous..
(and yes, I am aware - it is her wedding day)

No, but I am sure you get what I am trying to say..
the details on her dress, the elegance, the modern and young touch..
I think she had the perfect wedding dress ever!

Personally, I would love and just love to wear her dress!
It is going in my book of inspirations -  to the whatever and how many years I have ahead of me to dream of - my own wedding that will hopefully become a reality one day..

a Lego House / Lego dan ev yapmislar

I saw this at Design-Milk and couldn't believe my eyes.. James May built a house out of Lego pieces! amazing! It's just like, a kids dream coming true.. think of yourself as a kid and how many buildings you made, how many incredible designs you thought of.. this house is an example of all those ideas..

James May Lego parcalarindan ev yapmis.. evet, Lego parcalari.. İnanilmaz degil mi? Design-Milk'te gordum bende ve inanamadim.. cocukluk hayallerim gercek olmus gibi sevindim.. her birimiz legolarla oynayip kac tane yamuk ev yapmisizdir kim bilir.. iste bu ev o hayallerimizin gercek olmasinin simgesi..

memorize me

we all need some USB drives..
either for work, for school or for personal issues..

I know I have many somewhere in my apartment, hiding in the drawers..
I was never good at keeping them organized or even close to me..

so I found these 2 USB's that I believe are incredibly gorgeous, fun and useful

Memoring

LaCie

a USB that looks like a house key?
who would have thought..
now we won't lose our memories..

personally my favorite is the Memoring..
i love the way it looks and the colors..

which one do you like?

Soap Flakes

Soap Flakes designed by Swiss designer Nathalie Staempfli

{I found this on design-milk an amazing website to find new design stuff and inspiration}

there are 2 different designs..
both of them create soap flakes, in which you don't have to touch the soap bar..
hygienic isn't it?
and you don't have to waste that good old soap bar..

this on is like a pepper mill, but is a soap mill?!

what do you think?

lost in sofa

ever thought of having a sofa/chair that could store your goodies..
ever sit in your chair and don't know where to put your cup of tea?
well Diasuke Motogi thought of the perfect way to end your worries..

"Things often get lost under the sofa. It’s ordinary for a coin which slipped out of your pocket, or a never-to-be-found remote to be accidentally found in between/underneath the sofa cushions. Maybe you’ll find a forgotten 10,000 yen bill that you once hid in there…" - Diasuke Motogi
